Navigating the expansion content in Disney Dreamlight Valley often leads players into intriguing storyline quests that unlock powerful new abilities. The Flying Metal Nuisance quest serves as a pivotal story mission on Eternity Isle, requiring players to track down a mysterious flying entity to recover the Royal Hourglass. Completing this objective involves clearing environmental obstacles, discovering hidden memories, and crafting a special meal to win over an unfamiliar robot friend.

Tracking Down EVE on Eternity Isle

To begin this quest, travel to the Western docks in Ancient's Landing where a blocked bridge prevents further progress. Use your newly upgraded pickaxe to smash through the copper rocks blocking the pathway across the water. On the other side of the bridge, you will encounter EVE, who initially behaves guardedly toward your presence.

After speaking with EVE, interact with a nearby hologram station to consult Jafar about how to resolve her defensiveness. He suggests searching her spaceship-like house located close to the bridge for clues about her past memories. Inside her home, clear out the piles of junk scattered across the floor to uncover a hidden photograph.

Finding the Hidden Robot Costume

Examining the photograph reveals a secret location hidden behind a waterfall near Scrooge's shop in the area. Head toward the left side of the beach and break through the rock obstruction guarding the hidden cavern entrance. Opening the treasure chest inside awards you two key wardrobe items: a Robot Head and a Robot Costume.

Equip both costume pieces from your wardrobe menu before returning to speak with EVE again while in full disguise. Although wearing the costume helps you gain her attention, she still requires a special dish before fully letting her guard down. Jafar then instructs you to prepare the Best Fish Forever recipe to win her trust completely.

Cooking Best Fish Forever for EVE

Preparing the required meal requires gathering four distinct ingredients from around the surrounding biomes of the island. You will need a Sea Snail from blue fishing ripples, Cumin growing wild on the ground, Celery grown from Goofy's stall seeds, and a Robot Fish fished from orange ripples. Combine all four ingredients at any available cooking station or campfire to craft the meal.

Hand the completed dish to EVE, who will finally accept your gesture and step aside to grant access to the glowing artifact. With her friendship secured, you can collect the Royal Hourglass tool resting on the pedestal nearby. Return to the broken bridge in the courtyard and interact with the hologram station to finalize the mission and unlock new time-bending mechanics.
